Hopey Changey Things @ the Bemis Center

I am honored that the BBL was included in the exhibition Hopey Changey Things at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts.  For me the BBL is about vicinity and interaction, or lack thereof, and about getting face to face, on the street, with people who live in your community.  It is about the literal feeling you get when you ride your bike, the feeling you get when you take a risk to go somewhere you might not have gone before.  This is about seeing and realizing how much we have, in common, and in general. The BBL is about taking a chance on the other, because for me, taking a chance on the other has been the only thing that has transformed my life — and that is what I want to do, transform lives, in practical everyday kind of ways.  Then I want to tell the story of that transformation.
